No big ego trip to say this but I've now had too many requests for my paper
on the men's movement to send a copy to everybody. As Stephen reminded me
I would be being unkind to our tree friends. But silly me I feel obligated
(I don't know why, most people behave quite distant on the net, the
emotional matching the physical distance?), so I will endeavour to put the
paper on my web page. I will however send a paper (Recycled :-)) copy to
Kath of The Schumacher College since it was her original interest.
Anyway it left me a little cynical about this list, nobody speaks
for ages, then when something is offered lots of people suddenly surface.
So I'll unsub. Remember folks, read Val Plumwood, Carol J Adams, Karen
Warren and Chaia Heller and you might just stay sane... ;-) Richard.

H-NET LIST ON THE HISTORY OF SCIENCE, MEDICINE, AND
TECHNOLOGY

H-SCI-MED-TECH is an electronic mail discussion list
intended for the growing number of scholars who study
science, medicine and technology across a wide variety of
periods and regions of the world. Our aim is to foster
communication within and across the disciplines of history,
the history of science, the history of medicine and the
history of technology, which have become distinct
professional fields despite their obvious (and not so
obvious) interconnections. We are especially interested in
reaching college faculty who teach or plan to teach about
these subjects. Subscribers will be able to share
information about teaching and research, to get news of
professional activities (e.g., jobs, conferences,
fellowships and grants) and, most importantly, to
participate in conversations about matters of common
interest: new methods, new questions and new scholarship.
H-SCI-MED-TECH is FREE and open to everyone with a mature

Nina Lerman (Whitman College), Kathryn Olesko (Georgetown
