this is just a thought.  but it seems to me that part of the u.s.
"mandate" to intervene in world affairs comes from a eurocentric
diffusionist model of history - in which everything european is considered
to be if not the only way, at least the best way.  There's a good book
about this called -i think- A Colonizer's Model of the World and i believe
the author's name is blum...
