I don't know if this one has already been mentioned on this list, but I
remember seeing Clive James interview a woman from the US who had had heaps
of operations and spent SQUILLIONS of dollars to make her look like Barbie.
Almost inconceivable. She was planning her next series of operations that
were going to involve bone grafts to change the shape of her hips and face
and stuff. She insisted she was not stupid, saying 'I have an IQ of 164'
or something similar - just proves that there is a hell of a lot more to
intelligence and plain common sense than an IQ score.
