The Galillee College management training courses focus on strategy and policy formulation. The role of the senior manager is examined in depth. The Management of NGO's - In recent years, non-governmental organizations have increased in size, number and scope world-wide. Increasingly influential at the grassroots level, effective leaders are challenged daily to exhibit creative management in today's highly competitive environment. Limited resources for the public sector demand effective policy making, planning and implementation. The Galillee College workshop "MANAGEMENT AND DEVELOPMENT OF NGO'S: Linking Vision to Action," addresses the specific concerns of NGO management in transitional, developing and third world countries. Urban Economic Development - Major aspects of setting objectives for small businesses and industries in developing countries and transitional economies are examined: * Factors to be considered when setting up goals * Major objectives to be established * Significant trends and developments that directly impact goals The program provides methods and techniques to decision-makers at local and national government levels training them to allocate resources in the best public interest, thereby stimulating local entrepreneurs to invest in and efficiently manage new businesses and industries. Small Businesses and Industries - The course introduces various disciplines concerned with the field of economic and business studies and examined the intellectual and administrative tools which the professional manager requires in differing circumstances. Health Systems Management - Participants review and analyse the wide range of challenges encountered in health systems management at several levels, examining advanced techniques and strategies available for approaching these problems and dealing with them in their various aspects. The programme brings together senior health managers and policy makers whose responsibilities involve allocation of resources, development of policies and leadership, formulation of strategies, and evaluation of feasibility studies. The program focuses on the intensive and systematic study of critical management, planning and policy issues faced by senior managers, and on methods of coping with the particular health and medical environment met with in their day to day work. Senior Management Training Course in Educational Management - Designed for educators, directors and managers of schools, colleges, universities and institutes, the course provides managerial techniques specific for use within educational and related insitutions.
