Our opinions differ, but I don't wan't to make you out to be wrong.
I think the truth of your experience comes through in your post, and
believe me i don't want to confront you. I'm sorry our conversation got
off on the wrong foot. To tell you the truth, it has made me feel pretty
crappy. I don't like acrimony.
It might well be that i don't really belong on this list. I joined
EcoFem because ecolady invited me to after an exchange of posts we had. I
believe that the major problem with society today is that the male and
female principles are totally out of balance. I see this imbalance as
present in males and females both, that all of society is too masculine
(yang) and that the female (yin) principle is not much honored by anyone. I
see this as part of a natural cycle, that ages change from yin to yang, and
that history/herstory spirals along like this. I think that the ecological
crisis that we are bringing on by our actions will push us into a new age
where nature is respected and honored.
The solutions i imagine look a lot like those offered by helen
labato in her post "patriarchy and solution".
