The problem is, capitalism requires a very

people who do not share the capitalist vision (Growth! Profit!) will not
last long enough within a capitalist structure to have any significant
impact on the direction of a corporation or an economy. They'll be
chewed up and spit out, and the corporation will continue along on its
globe-gobbling way. It's the very structure of the economy that must be
transformed; otherwise all you get is new wine in old skins, or, in
slightly more contemporary terms, "Meet the new boss, same as the old
boss."

I'm all for it! How do you propose that we accomplish this?

Zanne,

Re: Corporate growth/profit -

In my opinion the problem is not growth/profit but LOVE OF MONEY
OVER LOVE OF LIFE!!!!!

The corporate mentality that Money at any expense (especially at the expense
of our natural resources) is OK - now that has to STOP!!!!!

We need future leaders whose vision includes growth, profit, prosperity but
not at the COST of our EARTH - That is what I will teach my children.

I also believe it is OK to want to make a lot of money and be rich but not at
the expense of others and our Earth. There is a way to have money and not
worship it. The problem I feel today is not necessarily capitalism but the
lack of good VALUES.

Thanks! Ecolady

Subject: ecosystemic social revolution

Dear EcoFem: To make a rapid transformation to ecosystemic culture, change
the nature of the dynamics:

A:POLITICAL
1. The mandate. Form a broad cooperative ecofeminist alliance between
women on as diverse a footing as possible and ecosystemic men. This
mandate is arrived at by person to person contact between people who agree
about the basic principles. It is promulgated politically in the media as
a creative evolutionary response toward long-term economic and social
welfare - green eco-politics. Market it to divide and test existing
political parties.
2. Collectively issue a coordinated call for a world referendum on one
key economic and environmental issue - "Do you want a sustainable economic
society?" - with a direct mandate to act. Funding for free-education of
women to be provided to ensure the vote is free, fair and fully informed.
3. Advance research program on sustainable social and 'eco-nomic'
dynamics and how to make a rapid smooth transition from economics to
'eco-nomics'. A great deal of this has to do with forming fractal
ecosystemic societies with real personal relationships and interdependence
and personal care for the local natural environment.

B:ECONOMIC (two examples)
1. The free market is a Darwinian illusion. Companies are not genetic
entities. They can currently fish out the cod and then liquidate and
re-venture as prawn farmers. CONCLUSION: Transform company law to make
companies genetic.
2. Public information is dominated by the effects of corporate
financial energy. This effects both advertising and the relative content
of TV. CONCLUSION: Tax all commercial exploitation at a rate of 50% and
hand the proceeds to politically independent NGOs to be the soul of human
ethics and freedom of information.
