The Society for Analytical Feminism invites submissions for sessions at the
1998 Pacific and Central Division APA meetings to be held in Los Angeles at
the Bonaventure Hotel, March 25- 28, 1998, and in Chicago at the Palmer
House, May 6-9, 1998, respectively.
The Society seeks papers that examine feminist issues by methods broadly
construed as analytic or that discuss the use of analytic philosophical
methods as applied to feminist issues. Reading time should be about 20
minutes. Authors should submit two copies, with any self-identifying
references deleted from the manuscript and collected together on a separate
page, and should state preference for the Pacific or Central meetings in an
accompanying letter. The Executive Committee will first fill the program
for the Central meetings and will schedule sessions for the Pacific meetings
only if submissions warrant doing so.
The Society offers a $250 travel stipend to a graduate student or a
professional who cannot get travel funding for a paper accepted by the
Society for the conferences. Authors who meet this description and who
would like to be considered for the stipend should state that in a cover
letter, as well.

The Society for Analytical Feminism
The Society for Analytical Feminism provides a forum where issues concerning
analytical feminism may be openly discussed and examined. Its purpose is to
promote the study of issues in Feminism by methods broadly construed as
analytic, to examine the use of analytic methods as applied to Feminist
issues and to provide a means by which those interested in Analytical
Feminism may meet and exchange ideas. The Society meets yearly at the
Central Division meetings of the APA, and frequently organizes sessions for
the Eastern Division and Pacific Division meetings as well.
Membership in the Society is open to all who are interested in and concerned
with issues in Analytical Feminism. Annual dues are $10 for regularly
employed members; $3.00 for students, unemployed, and underemployed members.
To join, send your check for the appropriate amount payable to the Society
for Analytical Feminism to Ann Cudd as above.
