Dear Ecofem,

Nice to see the consequences of the Asian economic recklessness that saw
Sumatra and Borneo go up in smoke hit the world financial markets with the
force and timing of El Nino! Costing-in you might say is the best antidote
for business as usual. One chaotic fluctuation for ecofeminist anarchy!
Now the challenge is to convince world players that the economic future is
as fragile as the Antarctic ice sheet.

There is an interesting story about the Great Barrier Reef. According to
New Scientist, the Great Barrier grew only 200,000 years ago during a time
the ocean rose 60 feet! Some challenge to the Zuider See, the Nile delta
and most of the Pacific atols! Apparently deposition of coral also denuded
the ocean of calcium, which fizzes off nearly as much CO2 back into the
atmosphere. Keep your eye on the Pacific!
