Hello all: Here's a special issue of Phoebe that might be of interest... ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Constance L. O'Mara), is just out; it's the second of two special issues on ecofeminism and ecocriticism, and features many fine essays from the conference, "Multicultural Perspectives on Environmental Writing" held at SUNY Oneonta in 1996. The contributors include several ASLE members and fine ecocritical scholars such as Benay Blend, Jia-Yi Cheng-Levine, Emily Hegarty, Patrick Murphy, Kamala Platt, Kathy Wallace, and others. I would be glad to email the table of contents to anyone interested, or to the list as a whole, as soon as the rush of grading is over! Meanwhile, it's a very handsome, perfect bound journal, and each of the two issues is $7.50, or $15 for the two of them. If you'd like to order right away, write NOT to me, but to Donna Simons, Secretary, Women's Studies Department, SUNY Oneonta, Oneonta, NY 13820. Hope this does not seem like a "commercial" announcement-- so much of the writing in the two issues is by members of this list, I felt colleagues might want a chance to see their work. Best holiday wishes! Charlotte Charlotte Zoe Walker Professor of English and Women's Studies State University of New York College at Oneonta, Oneonta, NY 13820
