THEME: Method and Methodology: Approaches to Theory and Practice in Feminism and Philosophy. The committee invites abstracts of approximately 1000 words. Complete papers will be considered as well. The theme encompasses issues of theory and practice in any area of feminism and philosophy. Although papers that address the theme are especially welcome, the theme will be interpreted generously. Contributors must include (for grant application purposes) the following information on a separate page: degrees (with dates), recent and relevant positions, recent and relevant publications, and a short (250-word) abstract. When possible, please get the relevant form from us to use for the bio. (This requirement should not deter graduate students from submitting.) Two copies of the paper are required. Presenters must be members of C-SWIP at the time of the conference. The committee also invites symposium proposals and suggestions for book panels. These proposals, which will be refereed, must include a one- paragraph description of the topic being suggested and a list of proposed participants with some indication of their willingness to be involved. Deadline for receipt of abstracts, and proposals is March 13, 1997, but earlier submissions are strongly encouraged.
