UNIVERSITY OF NEVADA, RENO, NEVADA. Director of Women's Studies
with joint faculty appointment in a department within the College of Arts
and Science. Rank open. Tenure may be granted on hire.
The Director will be expected to energize and to provide academic
leadership for the Women's Studies Program at UNR. The Director will
teach a course each semester, will be expected to be an active
scholar, and will work with
academic units across campus to develop a stronger presence for Women's
Studies. The Director will report to the Dean of Arts & Science.
_Qualifications_: Ph.D., accomplishments in both teaching and research,
and comprehensive knowledge of women's studies required. Administrative
experience preferred. Salary and rank commensurate with experience.
_Responsibilities_: To energize and provide academic leadership for
Women's Studies Program. Will teach a course each semester, will be an
active scholar, and will work with academic units across campus to
develop a stronger presence for Women's Studies. Will report to the Dean
of Arts and Science.
