As another relative newcomer to the list, I would like to confirm Jayne's observation about the level of anger and lack of respect for differences of opinion on this list. I have not found this to be the case on other similar lists. It seems as though many people on the list are wedded to a "saints and sinners" mentality i.e. we are "good" i.e. vegetarian, life-loving healers and anyone who disagrees with any aspect of our philosophy are "evil" meat-eating, capitalistic supporters of the status quo. I don't think any of us wants to perpetuate the dualistic split which is one of the most damaging aspects of the system which we are attempting to change. It seems to me that any attempt to grasp and claim "purity" of whatever sort--motive, action, philosophy inevitably creates a massive shadow which is then projected onto others. Elementary psychology, right ? So what is going on here, people ? By the way, I agree with and support Dorceta's comments re: diversity. Deborah
