As another relative newcomer to the list, I would like to confirm
Jayne's observation about the level of anger and lack of respect for
differences of opinion on this list. I have not found this to be the
case on other similar lists. It seems as though many people on the
list are wedded to a "saints and sinners" mentality i.e. we are
"good" i.e. vegetarian, life-loving healers and anyone who disagrees
with any aspect of our philosophy are "evil" meat-eating,
capitalistic supporters of the status quo. I don't think any of us
wants to perpetuate the dualistic split which is one of the most
damaging aspects of the system which we are attempting to change.

It seems to me that any attempt to grasp and claim "purity" of
whatever sort--motive, action, philosophy inevitably creates a
massive shadow which is then projected onto others. Elementary
psychology, right ? So what is going on here, people ?

By the way, I agree with and support Dorceta's comments re:
diversity.
