U.S. issues stamp to raise breast cancer funds
The U.S. Postal Service said Tuesday it had approved a 40-cent stamp =
that would raise money for breast cancer research. The design of the =
stamp, which will only be usable in place of a 32-cent first-class =
stamp, will be revealed in May, it said in a statement. The stamp will =
be issued nationwide in August. "Seventy percent of net proceeds will be =
given to the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and 30% will be given =
to the Department of Defense," the Postal Service said. The Pentagon is =
helping to develop technology for breast cancer research. (Reuters)
