INVENTING FOR THE ENVIRONMENT
The Lemelson Center at the Smithsonian Institution's National Museum of
American History invites you to the second in its lecture series, "Dialogues
on Inventing for the Environment," co-sponsored by AT&T.  Presentations in
this series include talks by environmental experts on energy, health, the
built environment, industrial ecology, and environmental history.
"Re-engineering the Industrial Revolution"
Braden Allenby, vice president, Environment, Health and Safety, AT&T,
discusses industrial ecology-the multidisciplinary study of industrial
systems, technology, and economic activities-and its linkage with
fundamental natural systems.  Dr. Allenby has written several books and
articles on the subject and recently served as director for energy and
environmental systems at Lawrence Livermore Laboratory.
