Some of the strategies etc that I need to most urgently work on in the near future are to do with raising awareness of male terrorism of women (where this happens) and what we need to do about it. There are scenarios here, in my country, of womens refuges with rooms no bigger than a prison cell where battered women and children do not receive the qualified counselling and help they need. I hope to put up a web site which may contain strategies for women to escape the cycle of violence (both mental and physical). Dealing with the abuse of women and children is close to any feminist heart. Feminist women should be helping establish networks of support to help women and children break free of abusive relationships (where counselling is no option or hasn't worked) The way society is structured at the moment, the issue is being totally ignored, women and children are suffering , funding is pitiful and public awareness is very low. It is bad for the planet to have children growing up in abusive families, especially where males use physical violence to dominate wives and children. Abused children may often become abusers of other people or animals or the planet. And this is only one problem of many.
