This week, the fate of the headwaters forest was decided. 10,000 out of 60,000 acres
of ancient Redwood and Douglas Fir have been "saved" (put aside for now). If you want

Also, as the current argument on the ecofem list continues, Julia Butterfly continues
to sit in the Stafford Giant (Julia changed the name of the tree to "Luna") trying to
stay the execution of the last remaining area of redwood old growth forest that could
(remotely) be considered wilderness. There is a website about Julia. For those who
haven't heard, Julia's treesitting protest is the longest in activist history.

It's a sad day for one of the most amazing forests left on the North American
continent!
Tell your friends and loved ones to boycott ALL redwood products, and urge your
institutions to change to tree-free paper.
