Dumb question> where in the H#!! do we get off telling other countries how to
run there politics when we can't even straighten out our own mess?

Sorry but in my book unless our backyard is sparkling clean & free of
oppression, crime, poverty & all the other problems we have we have no right
to even tell anyone else there problems or how to straighten them out. We
should only have embassies to facilatate travel & that's it! This also
includes giving tons of "relief money" to other countries that we aren't
likely to et back. The only divergence from this opinion I have is that
instead of continueing to pester Mexico with it's problems it would be largely
easier & considerable more cost effective to just annex the entire damn
country & trun each of it's states into new territories. The only real change
for them would be voting rights (actually being able to vote w/out being
threatened) & monetary (a change from a virtually wortheless mexican currency
over to the US dollar). No I wouldn't change their language, just add
english to the k-12 system down there & offer free english classes to adults
but not insist on it as the primary means of communication.

Oh come on! So your response to disresepct is MORE disrespect? You might
as well just tell me to "GRIN AND BEAR IT LIKE A MAN" because my feelings,
which are REAL, even though I AM a MAN, don't seem to matter much to you.

I think a lot of the reason why "[some] men batter women" is because they
themselves have been told by not only their fathers but also by their
MOTHERS that they cannot have feelings other than anger, because to do so
is to be "LESS THAN A MAN." This male ego thing isn't self-perpetuated
only by MEN. Check out some basic PSYCHOLOGY... there's a whole lot of
women out there telling their sons not to FEEL, and this might just come
out as violence towards women... it's very analagous to the way men were
treated in some "matriarchal" societies, like Crete, and how those
societies were overturned by the most patriarchal replacements all as a
reaction to what came before. It's more complex than your implied
suggestion that I "grow up and take it like a man" ... and as far as being
bullied and subjegated and told that one is a second class citizen, I have
been bullied and tortured and subjegated and disrespected by MEN *and*
WOMEN and not merely treated like a second, third or fourth class citizen,
but made to believe that I am not even supposed to EXIST much less breathe
the same air as the rest of GOD's holy breeder creation.

And I've wanted off the planet too because of that. But suicide is not
 the answer here.

I respect your position. But I have feelings too. And I am a man.

Hi! I agree with Jake here! For some reason some women do not allow their
sons to have feelings and cry? As if! If they did they would be gay and
they couldn't handle that? I allow my boys to express themselves freely -
crying is a good thing - a lot better then getting an ulcer! You had a right
to be insulted by those comments Jake as did any other man on the listserv -
you shouldn't be asked to grin and bear it - we should try to treat each other
with respect at all times!

Jake, you sound mad at God? In previous e-mail you mentioned forgiveness - go
with that and learn to try keep blame where it belongs away from the holy
spirit of creation - the only thing the holy spirit is guilty of at all times
is creation and love - that's my policy anyway!
Peace and Love!
