Responsibilities include: provide leadership for statewide land cover mapping, vertebrate database development and GIS analyses; facilitate collaboration among project participants, partner agencies and institutions; supervise student assistants; participate in collaborative research; prepare journal articles, professional papers and reports; develop proposals for external funding. Applicants should hold a masters degree (doctoral degree preferred) in geography, ecology, natural resources or a closely related area. Applicants must also have experience and expertise in GIS and remote sensing and excellent communication skills. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications for initial one-year appointment.
