Just to add another perspective..and BTW, I know bunny from some of the
vegetarian lists -- Hi Bunny!! -- but you know, Buddhists have an
entirely different view, one in which the notion of soul that the
Judeo-Christians have, is non-esistent. Really. Many of us who are new
to Buddhism don't realize that right away, but nope, no souls in
Buddhism, not the sort your guys are arguing about.
Nobody can tell me my cat doesn't reason, or animals standing in line at
the slaughterhouse and hear their fellows screaming, can't reason. No
siree...they reason pretty good, and pretty damn quickly, too.
