Prop making and street theater planning for the October 9th rally and
march. Facilitated by artist/activists Bob Spivey and Beverly Naidus from
the Institute for Social Ecology.
Mon, October 5th, 7-9 PM at the Institute for Social Ecology in Plainfield:
Sign and costume making for Oct. 9th with Janice Walrafen of Montpelier
Kids' Fest and the Vt. All Species Project.
Tues., October 6th, 7:30 PM, Contois Auditorium, Burlington City Hall:
>From Green Revolution to Gene Revolution--The Biotech Threat to Sustainable
Agriculture, a panel discussion featuring Brian Tokar (Institute for Social
Ecology), Sonja Schmitz (Univ. of Vermont Botany Dept.), Sherry Kawecki
(Alburg, VT dairy farmer), Tom Stearns (High Mowing Organic Seed Co.), and
Lindsey Ketchell (VT. Department of Agriculture).
Cosponsored by the Institute for Social Ecology, New England Resistance
Agst. Genetic Engineering, Biotech Action and Awareness Network, Burlington

Rally and march against genetic engineering, featuring speakers from NOFA,
ISE, UVM, NFN, Food & Water, and other groups, music, costumes and street
