NO it is not! The current, most pressing threat is ANARCHISM - the elite
power hungry, over zealous, spiritually deprieved, greedy, corrupt - stop them
before they destroy everything - stop them before it is too late! If we keep
pounding upon the overpopulation issue (still not getting it that enforcing
would be impossible - therefore it is not a viable soluation - drowning again
in it) start dealing with the real issues that have viable solutions! Get
off the control nature idea - it won't work - because we OBVIOUSLY do not
control nature - we are just a part of nature!
++Wrong Angela, we are contributing to global warming (according to many
scientists) which shows we have a direct affect on Nature. Large parts of
the ice shelves at the South Pole have caved away recently and pollution is
being found in the most recent layers of the polar ice. Nature is being
affected by our pollution which, due to our great numbers is of a geater
scale than ever before. We have acid rain and polluted seas. Sea animals die
becoming trapped in
disgarded rubbish and we are told to wear 30+ sunscreen because the hole in
the ozone is becoming larger (our refrigerant gas discharges and chemical
pollution
enhances the decay of the ozone layer). Our destruction of trees does influence
salinity (large areas are no longer farmable in my state - tree removal
caused rising salinity and this rendered the land sterile to all life - its
a wasteland).

++No, those who promote "sustainability" are the multinationals who are
promoting genetic engineered food which we are expected to eat despite the
fact that no-one knows what long term effects this will have on human beings.
The human race cannot populate the Earth to the extreme because there will
be nothing left of the forests that we need for health and our connection to
the Earth and also other animals that we share the planet with may become
extinct and quality of life will become intolerable. I would rather not live
than have to live on a planet whose major goal became "sustainability" of
rising populations of humans above all else.

family - one mind - one body - one soul - we have to come together in defense
of the Earth and each other - because of that! Get off the control population
bandwagon - it won't help if it can't be implemented!

Don't worry though Angela, perhaps one of the genetically engineered viruses
that scientists are trying to engineer to control mice and other species
will jump species and sterilise man :-)
