Hi!
Bertina - OK you are saying that your reply to "Why shouldn't we hurt the
other animals?" would be because of humanitarianism? In other words it is
more human not to kill animals for greed and avarice - why? Why is it more
human to be kind to the other animals? What separates us from them? Why
aren't they more kind to us - they would kill us if they could - at least some
of them would? Why should we reciprocate in kindness? You didn't answer the
all important question WHY? Native Americans use/used the animals as part of
survival -the difference is that they did/do not do is overuse them or abuse
them! They are being obedient to The Great Spirit - The Holy Spirit of God -
now just telling people to be kind to animals because it is more human - leads
us to this question - why is it more human? What makes us human animals?
Where is the distinction between human animals and other animals and who/what
gave us this distinction?
Peace!
Angela

Hi!
Bertina - there is something that tames the primal being - tames us from
behaving like wild animals - something that gives us our humanity - our
SOUL/holy essence/spirit - our souls in union with God makes us sacred - it is
important that we consider that sacred - because if you were MERE wild primal
untamed animals without soul - you really, really wouldn't have that warm
heart/and evolving brain you are feeling so deeply about the animals and other
humans with! You would view the animals as part of your diet and your
survival needs only - primal! They would have absolutely no rights other
then to exist for your existence - that is primal - humanity makes us care
because we are imprinted(genetically) with caring hearts and minds by God -
they do not exist FOR us they exist with us. Maybe they do exist for us - to
give us bigger hearts! Therefore, we thank God for our humanity. That's how
I see it!
Peace!
Angela

Hi!
Please understand that religious beliefs are imperative to curing the Eco-
Crisis! There is no way you will cure anything - any harms done to women or
the animals or the Earth without dealing with the hard issues like religion!
You can not disconnect the issues from the source! Sorry if I sound
repetitive - but if you want a list were you can go to discuss blaming God for
human fallacy and not have anyone defend Godliness then want don't you create
one? - This is not personal, this is related, this is getting to the source -
get to the root of the problem or the problem will not go away magically!
It reminds me of how we are spending so much money on finding a cure for
breast cancer and so little money trying to heal the cause of it - such as
pollution run-off from paper mills. If we ever find a cure, then the disease
will still exisit because we didn't heal the root!
Ecofeminism is about the dominance of man on the Earth - the cure is find out
WHY? Why does man dominate women and the Earth - the answer is religious
belief and perception. It is at the root!
Peace!
Angela

Just so you guys know, I live in Bloomington, Indiana and they also had an
Anthrax scare at Bloomington South High School. My feeling is that the stuff
at the two schools is a copycat type action. -- Mary Morris

Actually, some people believe Jesus actually fathered children and their
descendents live on today.
