Thanks to one and all for your interest and support of BEIJING95-L, an
electronic discussion concerning the upcoming UNITED NATIONS CONFERENCE ON
WOMEN (Beijing, Sept 1995).
The list has generated a tremendous response. Currently there are well
over 100 new subscribers and climbing rapidly. If you have tried to

Once again i must emphasize that BEIJING95-L is a mailing list for women
only! If enough men express interest in the discussion of the U.N.
Conference on Women a separate male-inclusive list will be created.
Please understand that I am trying to create a safe space for women where
issues of self-determination and development may discussed in privacy. I
have encouraged all men who have expressed interest in the list to please
raise the topic of the U.N. Conference on Women in any of the
gender-related discussions to which they have access. Women, too, are
urged to bring up the conference on whatever electronic forums to which
we belong.
