Hi Ariel,
You asked about whether there are any ecofeminist activists out there. I
guess I could label myself as such. Some of the things Im currently working
on are:
* rainforest protection in the Ecuadorian Amazon see
http://forests.org/ric/projects/
* Goldbusters - a consumer based campaign to shut the gold mining industry
down by discouraging the purchase of products made out of newly mined gold
(75%-85% of newly mined gold goes to gold jewelry) see
http://forests.org/ric/gold/
* advisor to campaign to stop development of Xcacel, Mexico one of the few
remaining breeding grounds for loggerhead and green turtles in the Atlantic
seaboard (see ttp://www.globalresponse.org/gra/current.html or
http://www.cccturtle.org/a_xcacel.htm or
http://www.earthisland.org/strp/xcacel.html or http://www.turtledisaster.org/
Im also a deep ecologist and have just completed a year long benefit tour
through the US, New Zealand and Australia offering deep ecology workshops
(Council of All Beings, Gender & Deep Ecology, The Timeline of Light),
lectures and rainforest roadshows as a fundraiser for forest activism and
rainforest protection projects in developing countries.
