Yes, moveon but also let the Senator know that you view
that this entire spectacle is Unconstitutional,
and that they should have walked out of the Senate
rather than allowed something Unconstitutional to
be continued there. The intent of the Constitution makes it very clear that the
legislators must
heed the will of the people on impeachment; - that is
exactly why it is in a legislative branch rather
than heard by federal judges. To continue this
matter against our will is a complete breach of the
intent and purpose of the form of government we have
in this country. Why should any citizen expect to
be heard *on any issue* if THIS issue, the most central
structural and policy matter of all, meets with our
will being ignored, first by the House, and now
by the Senate. Let them know you will not only
remember their allowing this coup to perpetuate
in 2000, but you will regard any further
legitimization of it and involvement with it as a
central and unforgivable betrayal of our form of
government, and will question their ability to function
on any other legislative matters. Let them know you
are prepared to vote third party or none of the above
if they do not stop their arrogant disregard of
the American people. Remind them that they are
members of an elected body; not a royal court.
This should have ended in the House if the House
was functioning Constitutionally. The whole matter
is already beyond the breach.
