"Concern for Environment" is a sign of teen drug use. According to a booklet published by the Salt Lake Education Foundation, "excessive preoccupation with social causes, race relations, environmental issues, etc." are "social signs of regular [marijuana] users." The booklet, "How Parents can Help Children Live Drug Free", was distributed to parents of students in the Salt Lake City School District. While the Salt Lake Education Foundation is a private entity, the publication was distributed with the blessing of the public school board.
