For anyone who would like to eat less meat these vegetarian cookbooks are a delicious way to start. Laurel's Kitchen, The Moosewood Cookbook and the Greens cookbook (from the restaurant in San Fran) aare some of my favorites. If you want to try being a vegan for a few meals (a healthy aas wel as ecologically correct way to be) try John Robbins newest book I think it's called Diet for a New World but I'm not sure just ask for his latest book in any slightly cool bookstore, this book also has more facts about eating towards a better planet. Did you guys know that a true vegan doesn't even eat honey, or refined sugar (part of it's processing allegedly uses parts of a pig). Do you guys think that this is factual and if it is do you think these points are even legit in the larger schema, not to mention difficult to live by? I am currently working on an article on the environmental education of children by grass roots movements --- aka project wildlife. I am examining this trend as political -- i.e. education by these movements is political, and the whole concept of children and families as political identities (the rights of children as future citizens). I do have a wealth of data from a field study, and I am looking for any other references on this topic or any other related topics such as children's political movements, and the politics of education -- Is there anyone out there who can enlighten me on this topic??
