Thanks for the mail that you have just sent to ecofem subscribers' 
list. It is really depressing and frustrating to realize that all the 
efforts and changes that have been achieved thus far does not bear 
any significance at all in terms of recognizing the need to stop the 
violence and recognize womyn's rights.

The Womyn's Centre at the school I am attending, University of 
Victoria is cuurently organizing an International Womyn's Week in 
conjuction with March 8. The failure of UN Human Rights Commission 
just represent another form of structural barrier in eliminating 
discrimination and inequality towards womyn and womyn of color. 

Once again, thanks for the message and I would like to request from 
anyone who knows more about this to send me information in terms of 
why the UN decided not to vote on the resolutions and what were the 
objections?

the resolutions & will post them if/when i receive further info.  in the
