Okay folks. Enough is enough. I joined this list a few weeks ago to
network, learn, mobilize, and expand use of what has until now, been a very
efficient organizing tool. Joe E. Dees and Nicole, I give you full latitude
to air your opinions and bicker at will, but not at the expense of my
precious time. If you devoted the time and energy you give each other
bickering back and forth to the pressing issues you both obviously care
about, we'd all get more done.

Mr. Dees, I used to read your contributions because they had direct value to
issues that are important to me. Your information was insightful, useful,
and often humorous. Now, I find them all responses, knee-jerk reactions to
someone else's latest flame against you and your positions. Initially, your
dialogue was interesting, but it has quickly degenerated into an endless,
space- and time-comsuming "he said, she said" cyber-pissing contest.

Please try to be more solution-oriented. Recognize the diversity of
perspectives that makes progressive movements such rich and inclusive
mosiacs. Try to find common ground and build on that. If you two continue
to fill my box with dozens of examples of the depths of your defensiveness
and derision per day, I'll have no choice but to sign off and liaise with
other folks more focused on winning campaigns. I frankly don't have time to
continue to filter through all the crap to find sparse nuggets of wisdom.

Cheers,
Sam Medlock

When I dare to be powerful - to use my strength in the service of my vision,
then it becomes less and less important whether I am afraid.
