Isn't true freedom allowing others to make their own choices? Jessica
has clearly made her choice, and she wants no part of your liberating
forces. Inconsistency be damned - the demand for order and logic is
just another tool of the patriarchy. Incidentally, there is no
reverse sexism in alluding to the patriarchy. Fact is, men have the
upper hand everywhere. That is patriarchy. And as long as "liberals"
like Chris tout themselves as liberators and saviors, they will
continue to feed that legacy. Embracing feminism/ecofeminism means
accepting that you don't have all of the answers and listening to
those whose life experiences teach them things you cannot know.

I admit to very little knowledge of the customs, laws, and traditions
of Islam, but if you have been acclaimed as a Sufi in a land where the
worst aspects of a patriarchy are standard fare, my guess is you are
doing something the agents of the patriarchy like.
