unleesh --- where does one come upon the _Humanure_ book? can this be done w/out a compost toilet? (no funding for such things . . .) heather --- yes, a million times, i hear you and have similar questions. hard to unlodge very CORE values/beliefs from myself or others and so we are divided always in subtly crafted wars, both actual, legislative and in the day to day. and so simply go on avoiding the "other" from who's ever perspective one speaks. a million theories; still i struggle envisioning an alternate reality helps form a new one? teach-ins? (would anyone come?) how is it that everyone in the community might truly communicate? how is it that old dogmas so long etched into folks' being might be shifted? and how to deal with the infiltration of racist-classist-heterosexist-etc-ist-patriarchy into the fibers of nearly EVERYTHING?? i work all the time to DEMONSTRATE another reality, through the way in which i live. trying to set an example. i hold tightly to the notion that this is helping to enact change. always happy for feedback/discussion, gwendolyn griffin
