Can they?" My thoughts on this are that not everyone has a religious
background, and some people reject all forms of religion because they
don't believe in the "essence" of themselves or souls. If we truly
understand the interconnectedness of all life, than we must aknowledge the
validity of individuals who don't believe in the existance of
soul/goddess/god/essence of the self/etc.
On a personal level, I do believe in the interconnectedness etc, but I
think it's possible for individuals to reject the idea of the soul and
still be compassionate caring individuals that can unite with Ecofeminists
to help make positive changes. People's positive actions and efforts to
diminish dominiation and exploitation of life can be the "ground/unity"
that we need.
"The Great Spirit/Holy Spirit/Goddess Spirit - whatever you call it -
joins it all - If we unit in that we have found true commonality and a
strong foundation to love everything and stamp it sacred. Solid
ground/unity is what we need - the Earth is shaking because of our
divisions!"
I enjoyed reading your response. You said the "Earth is shaking because
of our divisions" If it shakes because of our divisions, than the Earth
has been shaking for a long time.
