My only problem with Toffler is that, as far as I recall,
in his first two books and the TV special drawn from them, he
says nothing about the environment. This was despite the activities
of the environmental movement of the the late 60s and early 70s.
Also, the more you read of him, the more he avoids the hard questions
that emerge from his prognosis. Come to think of it, that's two
problems! Ah well, that's life.

Ronnie thankyou for your thoughts. We must guard against our speciocentric
thinking when considering population. Humans are the ones who need to cut
down in numbers. I always think this whenever farmers go on about their
need for guns to shoot rabbits or kangaroos. Especially kangaroos who
would not be in such unmanagable proportions if white man hadn't come and
stuffed the ecosystem. We need to start taking responsibility for what we
as a race have done and start to take some of the cuts ourselves. Animals
are not to blame for our bad decisions, why should they pay for them?
