Dr. Mary Manandhar and myself are writing a paper of
traditional birth practices, menstrual taboos and seclusion
of women. It is a comparative paper but focuses on west
Nepal. However, parts of the jigsaw are missing and
principally we would be interested in communicating with
anyone who knows about practices that are extant in Islamic
communities in south Asia or in orthodox Jewish
communities.
