Hello,
I am a Turkish student at PSU just finished my MS in Economics, most of you might have
known about the earthquake happened in Turkey. Turkey is a developing country, and she
needs help to recover from this disaster. Eartquake happened in several cities at the
same time, hitting the very industrial parts of the country, the death toll is
expected to risemore than 10.000 people. My friends write me in the e-mail that
streets are full of dead people, and there are still voices coming under the
collapesed buildings and debris, but there is not adeqaute equipment or people so they
are burried alive because of just being born in a developing country. The people who
survived are suffering through the food and water scarcity. Now they are homeless, and
have no place to stay other than soccer fields, and tents if available.
There are big fires going in the biggest oil refinery and can hardly be controlled. It
seems like it is more than a disaster. There are leakeges from the refinery and the
chemical plants in the disaster area.
Turkey needs your help, please help her.
