PLEASE EXCUSE ANY CROSS POSTINGS***
Dear List,
Hi everyone! I am new to the mailing list and have found your interactions
both helpful and informative. It is great to see how many of you respond with
suggestions and directions and I am hoping that you may be able to be of
assistance in my quest for a career change - Corporate to Advocacy.
FYI Background Info: My name is Lisa Clontz and I am a Business Development
Manager for Waste Management Inc. I have 7+years of corporate business
experience in management, public relations, sales, & marketing. I have also
been involved in the areas of green purchasing, solid waste management,
household recycling, commercial recycling, and consumer electronics recycling
(life cycle management). I have presented source reduction plans and
proposals to major corporations and have promoted recycling awareness to
cities, schools, & corporations. I have managed trade show activities toward
promoting environmental programs. My strong personal belief and commitment
towards sustainable development has driven me to direct my skills and
experience towards assisting an advocacy organization more directly involved
with the movement. I am knowledgeable and interested in issues of global
climate change, energy conservation, corporate social responsibility,
information technology, community development, education, training, and
public awareness. I am also familiar with international environmental
initiatives (Agenda 21, Eco-Procurement, etc.).
I believe I could best serve a NGO, non-profit, or other business
organization in the areas of project research, fundraising, public relations
(education/awareness), marketing/promotional efforts, implementation, and/or
project management. I have lived in Germany and California and would prefer
to work either place. However, I would be open for other opportunities on the
West Coast or in other Western European countries. I am very open to travel
and also speak good German.
If any of you could be of assistance in helping me network with people or
organizations which may benefit from my background and experience I would
greatly appreciate it. Any mentoring help would also be very welcome. I can
send more detailed information upon request. Also please feel free to contact
me via the phone below.
Thanks for any help any of you may offer and please feel free to forward this
information.
Sincerely,
Lisa Clontz
