Environmentalist seek ocean ranch YARMOUTH, Mass. (AP) - A Cape Cod environmentalist is trying to promote his plan for a so-called "ocean ranch," a $30 million proposal that weds wind power and aquaculture to create sustainable energy and a food source. The plan by Conservation Consortium Foundation director Brian Braginton-Smith involves building an ocean platform where ocean ranchers would generate electricity for 10,000 users with 250 foot high wind towers, while raising fish in giant pens. The idea is in the early stages of development, and would likely face heavy opposition from neighbors objecting to unsightly wind towers, and the waste created by fish farms. But Braginton-Smith said now is the time to start building an ocean ranch. See full story <http://www.infobeat.com/stories/cgi/story.cgi?id=2561030980-afb>
