_Washer_, a feminist zine, is currently looking for contributions for our Autumn issue.  If you're interested, please read on:

------------
What We Have
------------
-Two Book reviews:  _Bitch_ and _Cunt_ (both promisingly controversial)

-A "Happily Ever After" essay about chivalry, horses and girlhood (in which Mel gets to talk about My Little Pony - remember that?)

-An update on alternative menstrual products and the tampon controversy

-An interview with a prominent feminist author

-An article on female impotence

-An article about feminist press and feminist bookstores - why have 50% of them gone out of business in the last year alone?

-An essay about the cliche-ness of talking about body image ... or is that cliche?  Hmmm.

-Action alerts and calendar

-An essay on body mutilation

-A reprint of "12 Feminist Approaches to Ponder" (taken from vol. 1, issue 1)

-An update on the Washer White Pages

-Artwork (both photos and other media)

-A letter to the editor about the last issue

... And I'm sure there's more I'm forgetting. :)

What We Need
------------
Everything else. :)

If you are interested in making a contribution to the next issue, please do so!  The tentative topic is "The Body", but that's just to get people thinking.  As always, we welcome submissions on virtually any topic at all.  Got something on your mind?  We want to know about it!

Also, if you know of any events or resources in your community that should be highlighted in the next issue, let us know.

And as always, we're always in search of advertisers and kind souls to give us donations ...

-----------------------
The Submission Deadline
-----------------------
Set tentatively for Wednesday, October 6 by midnight.  That gives us three weeks.  The goal is to have the next issue available in time to hand out at the Bloomington-Normal (IL) Take Back the Night (which is penciled in for Wednesday, October 20).

You can send your submissions to us via e-mail, disk, or hardcopy to any of the addresses listed below in the signature.

Should you have any questions/comments, please e-mail me at [EMAIL PROTECTED], rather than replying to the entire list. Thanks!

Paz,
