Dear All:

ECOFEM is in the process of shifting its "home" by moving the
admin system from a listproc base to a majordomo base. This has
been planned for some time, and it is now ready for
implementation. This does NOT mean that the list's purpose
changes. Instead, it means that some of the technical aspects of
using the list are altered. The main effect relates to all commands,
such as subscribing and unsubscribing.

Michael Yount, our system organiser, will convert all subscribers
from the listproc base to majordomo base tomorrow (Monday,
13/12 US time). The day after that (Tuesday, 14/12 US time) the
official switch will occur. He will notify the list of these changes, so
watch out for his message(s).

Once the list has been shifted, each subscriber should receive a
new "Welcome to ECOFEM" message which provides some
details regarding the technical changes to the system. However,
you will be automatically converted to teh new system, so there
shouldn't be too much (if any) difficulty. Other than the werlcome
letter, you shouldn't experience any substantive changes.

As always, I will be available if you discover any problems with your
subscription. You can contact me at [EMAIL PROTECTED]

I look forward to another year--dare I say century & millennium!--of
discussions on ECOFEM.

Best wishes to all,

Stefanie Rixecker
ECOFEM Coordinator (not "President"!!)
