dear ecofemers, I've just started working in the arena of women's health, including as primary concerns, obstetrics and gynecology, health education, & abortion litigation. It is my hope that this query will give me a better sense of direction in my work. Please feel free to answer as many or as few of the following questions as you wish, and to elaborate as much as possible. What women's health issue do you feel should be at the forefront of concern? Do you feel you received adequate sex education in school? If not, what was lacking? What measures might be taken to reduce the number of abortions? Is clinic violence (inclusive of harassment) an issue in your area? Is mifepristone (RU 486) available in your area? Does your workplace offer child care? Do you have coverage plans which finance maternity leave and/or abortion? Does your insurance pay for abortion? What about birth control? Is forced or coerced sterilization an issue for anyone on this list, or for anyone you know of? Is midwifery practiced, promoted and/or legal in your area? What health needs do you have that are not met by the mainstream health care providers? Does anyone meet these needs? If there areas of concern which i have not addressed, please include those concerns in your response. It would be helpful if you include from which area of the world (country, state/province, & county) you are writing. Please respond to me at [EMAIL PROTECTED] Thank you!, gwendolyn n
