RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: The successful candidate will: assume responsibility for day-to-day operations of the CBC; work with Program Managers to identify strategic opportunities for program implementation; ensure quality of scientific content and translation accuracy for CBC publications; lead CBC staff in topic selection for, and organization of, the annual Spring Symposium series; and participate in proposal development and fund-raising activities. QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates must have: a Ph.D. in evolutionary biology, ecology, conservation biology or a related field; substantial knowledge of systematics and collections-based research; a minimum of 5 years managerial and program development experience; excellent organizational and time-management skills; attention to detail; superior oral and written communication skills; and proven interpersonal abilities; Spanish proficiency and a minimum of 2 years field experience are preferred.
