CALL FOR PAPERS

2001 Annual Meeting of the Western Section of The Wildlife Society
February 22-24, 2001
Radisson Hotel, Sacramento, California

The Program Committee is soliciting abstracts for papers to be presented as
contributed papers or posters at the 2001 Annual Meeting of the Western
Section of The Wildlife Society.  The meeting will be held February 22-24,
2001 at the Radisson Hotel in Sacramento, California.  The theme of the
conference is "Politics and Realities of Wildlife Conservation at the start
of the 21st Century."   Abstracts are solicited for sessions that may
include Deer Management, Wildlife Toxicology, Seabirds, Wetlands and
Waterfowl, Habitat Restoration and Management, Reptiles and Amphibians,
Forest-Dependent Wildlife, Technology, Carnivores, Large Mammals,
Sacramento-San Joaquin Valley, Sierra Nevada, Southern California, Northern
California, Great Basin and Deserts, Nevada, Hawaii, and general papers.  

Abstracts should not exceed 200 words (title and author addresses are not
included in word count) and should be in Arial 12 pt font.  Indicate the
preferred session and if the paper will be an oral presentation or poster. 
Please submit abstracts either electronically or on 3.5-inch floppy disk in
ASCII or Wordperfect 6/7/8 format no later than October 1, 2000 to Barry
