Hi All,

Our efforts in Ketchikan, Alaska to collect comments in favor of
protecting roadless national forests in the US, including the Tongass
National Forest is winding down. We've been through some amazing
attempts at intimidation from a group called C.A.R.E., the Alaska Forest
Association, and the Chamber of Commerce -- we're still alive.

Thank You -- to the many ecofems who wrote to endorse Tongass roadless
protection. Because of you we were able to give voice to locals in SE
Alaska who would have remained silent at the Forest Service hearing. I
encourage everyone (who hasn't already commented) to write the Forest
Service and tell them to include the Tongass National Forest in roadless
protection. We're recommending Alternative 4 with full Tongass inclusion
and asking for protection of areas of 1,000 acres or smaller and smaller
areas of biological importance.
