Call For Papers

Feminist Ethics and Social Theory:
The First "FEAST"
Clearwater Beach, Florida: October 4-6, 2001

Please celebrate with us the first international meeting of FEAST, October
4-6 at the Sheraton Sand Key Resort in Clearwater Beach, Florida. FEAST is
a professional organization dedicated to promoting feminist ethical
perspectives on philosophical, moral, social, and political life, including
law and public policy-making. Our aim is to enhance the visibility and
influence of feminist ethics, as well as feminist political and social
theory, and to provide support to emerging scholars from diverse and
underrepresented populations.

The first FEAST conference will be devoted to a wide array of feminist
ethical, social, legal, political, aesthetic, and cultural theories and
issues. We are also interested in agendas for future writing, research, and
activism. Graduate students scholarships are available.

Keynote Speakers: We are very pleased to announce that Cheshire Calhoun and
Iris Marion Young will be two of our keynote speakers.

Submission Information: Please send three copies of papers of approximately
20 minutes reading time (accompanied by abstracts, and prepared for
anonymous review, no email submissions, please) to Program Committee Chair:
