[Nestled in the rolling hills of Northern New Jersey, Ramapo College
is approximately 40 miles from NYC and easily reached by a number of
Interstate highways in the region.]

Sponsored by:
Mid-Atlantic World History Association (MAWHA)
Eastern Community College Social Science Association (ECCSSA)

We welcome proposals on any subject, period, or area from teachers
or researchers in universities, colleges, and secondary schools,
and from independent scholars.  Proposals may include individual
papers, collaborative projects, or roundtable discussions on a
topic or theme of interest to those in the social sciences and
world history.  Suggested topics include, but are not limited to,
the following:

* Ethnic Diversity and Conflict

* Imperialism and Colonialism

* Global Economy and Labor

* Environmental Studies and Geography

* Women in Society and History

* Teaching Social Science and History

* Communications and Culture

* Politics, Peace, and War
