The Environmental Protection Agency has opened a public comment period on a
legal petition asking the agency to address emissions of greenhouse gases
by cars and trucks. This presents a RARE and CRITICAL opportunity.
20/20 Vision helps focus public action on a small number of important
issues,
through letters to key officials.
20/20 is part of a clean-air coalition that is working to drive
75-100,000 comments into the EPA docket. Anything less would empower the
Bush Administration to ignore this issue.
Conversely, a large number of messages would, for various legal and
political reasons, make the issue far more powerful.
We need to help generate an overwhelming response, so please take a moment
to send an email to the EPA by visiting the Web page below and clicking
"Take Action Now."
In the email you send to the EPA, urge them to
determine that CO2 is a pollutant under the Clean Air Act. You can include
your own views and/or utilize the automated talking points
provided. Either way, be sure to include "EPA A&R Docket #A-2000-04" in
the subject heading of the email.
Sheer numbers will be the key. Please take a moment to act on this crucial
global-scorching issue.
