About 130 people showed up yesterday to demonstrate, calling for renewable energy sources and an end to work-place discrimination. At the meeting, Exxon Mobil shareholders voted to reconsider next year whether to amend company policy and ban discrimination based on sexual orientation. Shareholders voted against several other amendments, including promotion of wind, water and solar power, linking executive pay to the companys environmental and social record, and a proposal to prepare a report on the effect of drilling in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge.
