Applications are now open for the Dolphin Ecology & Marine Conservation
Field School <https://ifrglobal.org/program/italy-sardinia-ecology/> in
Sardinia, Italy, hosted by the Institute for Field Research (IFR)
<https://ifrglobal.org/>. This immersive program combines hands-on
fieldwork, lab-based analysis, and cultural exploration to give students a
transformative field experience.

*Program Highlights:*

   - Conduct dolphin population surveys in marine protected areas using
   advanced bioacoustic technology.
   - Explore human impacts on marine ecosystems through environmental
   monitoring and community engagement with fishers and tourists.
   - Gain career-ready skills in soundscape ecology, stakeholder surveys,
   conservation policy development, and Raven Pro sound analysis software
   - Experience Sardinia’s rugged coastline, crystalline waters, and
   vibrant cultural identity through program field trips and local engagement.

This two-week program includes an online pre-departure module, beachfront
accommodations, and academic credit through Connecticut College.

*Key Dates:*

   - Priority Deadline: February 1, 2025
   - Rolling applications accepted thereafter until the program is filled.
