Dear Colleagues,

Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens (Pittsburgh, PA) is offering our next
virtual science communication workshop later this month! Graduate students,
post-docs, technicians, professors, and other science professionals in all
fields of STEM are welcome to attend as we explore strategies to share complex
topics accessibly with a variety of audiences, from grant program officers to
children and everyone in between. This workshop is highly interactive, and
attendees will be encouraged to participate in sharing during the sessions as
well as practicing with short take-home activities.

Join us for the full three-part virtual series, or sign up for the topics that
speak to you:
- Part 1: Jan 27 | 1 - 3 p.m. EST: Jargon Management, Understanding Your
Audience, Concise Messaging
- Part 2: Jan 28 | 1 - 3 p.m. EST: Concept Mapping, Storytelling, Interpretive
Writing
- Part 3: Jan 29 | 1 - 3 p.m. EST: Strategies for Engaging the Public

Registration for the full workshop is $40; or each individual session is $15.
