Public Interest Environmental Scientist/Engineer

The Interdisciplinary Environmental Clinic at Washington University School of 
Law is seeking an environmental scientist/engineer with experience related to 
the development, implementation, and regulation of water quality policies.  
This position is an integral part of the team of attorneys and engineers who 
administer the Clinic, a pro bono law practice that handles complex 
environmental and community health cases for non-profit organizations in 
Missouri and Illinois.  The Clinic is staffed by students who take primary 
responsibility for case handling during the academic semester, and offers the 
unique experience of working in interdisciplinary teams to serve public 
interest clients directly.  The environmental scientist/engineer will provide 
primary technical expertise, direction, and feedback to students and clients on 
Clinic cases involving water and water related issues.  Case related work could 
include providing input on the development of state or federal regulations p!
 ertaining to water quality, evaluating a particular industry or company's 
compliance with the CWA, reviewing and commenting on NPDES permits, reviewing 
and commenting on applications for CWA Section 401 Certification and Section 
404 permits, litigation support, and/or participating in relevant stakeholder
